A carer’s energy

Striking a balance between being reasonable from a personal perspective and not being a people pleaser consumes a lot of energy.

When a person has the ability to read group dynamics well, he often needs to decide whether or not to work towards harmonious and beneficial outcomes. In some cases, she can let the ball drop, thus leaving others to work out solutions to problems or tricky situations.

Work of this nature often goes unnoticed, with other folks taking for granted the fact that matters are running smoothly.

Anyone who wants to do “the right thing” would usually opt for going the extra length to make sure that an overview is maintained over proceedings, for the greater good.

But there is often a price to be paid for this. Is self care really such a questionable thing to aim for?
