Being useful
I understand the reasons why we all have to be useful. It makes sense that each of us should have something to offer, that other people might want or need at some point.
Is anyone truly useless? I don’t think so. It is possible that a person’s skills and talents could be misused, however.
In some situations, people function without having done the deep reflection required for truly effective work. It is not the same as operating on autopilot, but such endeavours can produce similar results.
Having an overview and being consciously aware of it is hard work. Paths may cross, but the resulting collaborations don’t always produce alchemy or magic.
With any luck, we get opportunities to reset the dial in order to start again. Where there is life and good health, there is hope.
