“If you want to get something done, ask a busy person”, as the saying goes.
Events, sounds, shapes, colours, textures and timbres whizz by for busy bees. If the person is present in the moment, then hopefully he or she will focus on each task as much anyone else would.
I used to look at people in positions and situations of this sort and think they were privileged to have the opportunities to make so many choices and decisions. Now I can see that many of them simply get on with it, as there is hardly any time for basking in self congratulatory reflection.
Those who live slower and quieter lives probably have their own reasons to be cheerful. Anyone who thrives on problem solving or dealing with creative challenges should take the bull by the horns while they still have the wherewithal to do so.
Who knows how much time each of us has?
