Cold light of days
As John Lennon once sang “nobody told me days would be like these”. Relationships and bonds go through many phases, but in the end, each of us is alone in reality.
We can all learn from each other, but it is wise to listen to one’s inner voice the most.
Leaning on anyone else for any reason at all might be reassuring or soothing for a while, but life and nature have ways of intervening, to remind us of the way we actually arrived in this world.
Some might think it is cold and unfeeling to see the world through such a lens. Is it possible that they want to be sentimental above all else?
The moment of truth hits many of us in waves. It makes sense to be prepared.
