It’s the personal stuff that’s most interesting.
Being a member of a group or collective is useful for sharing experiences, but the way we feel as individuals about the events, people or spectacles we encounter is the material that others can learn from the most.
Is it fair to say the need to belong is overrated?
Authenticity has been upheld in recent times as an exemplary attribute. It is perhaps unfortunate that the public figures associated with this trait are not always those who are aiming for high minded ideals.
Some of us are here primarily to be team players. Others are more effective as one person bands.
