Living with memory

A minor incident inspires a thought piece. Said article elicits a response, based on the feelings and thoughts of someone who reads it. All of a sudden, floodgates of memory open up, to flow about various past experiences.

It is often said that time heals wounds (or wounds heels), but sometimes one realises that a trauma was only internalised and possibly submerged. The feeling of having been through a painful process has not been addressed adequately, over a long period of time.

Many of us think of healing mainly with regard to physical health, but our hearts and minds also need to be treated with care when we come up against disruptive or unpleasant energy.

Well being is felt personally, as far as I know.

‘Forgive your enemies, but don’t forget their names’ is a famous maxim that comes to mind.
