Moving on from first impressions
Time does its work in all areas of human existence. Impressions can be created, but after a while each of us needs to come to terms with the era we are living in.
It has been noted that some folks who become well known are somehow restricted from growing emotionally, because they feel obliged to maintain the qualities that made them renowned in the first place.
In moments of truth however, it becomes clear that they are in many cases holding on to something that has evaporated in the mists.
The other side of the coin can be seen in situations where observers don’t want to give up their initial impressions of who a person might be.
On both sides of the fence, those who cling to the past are dabbling with futility. The truth is, that no one remains exactly the same, in the long run.
