Things we share in common

It’s interesting, funny and sad that sometimes people become aware of each other in ways that suggest that they could have things in common, but never follow up on familiarising.

Like ships passing in the night, one could walk past a fellow creative on the streets in the neighbourhood, occasionally acknowledging that person’s presence with a nod or a smile.

Time has a way of creeping up on all of us. At some point we realise that we’ve vaguely known of such a person for decades, yet we never had a proper conversation.

Nowadays with social media, each day brings a new revelation about someone having passed on. In some cases, those of us left behind reflect about what might have been, if we had made the effort to get to know the person.

Ups and downs, swings and roundabouts abound in a lifetime. Can anyone ever know the true magnitude of spiritual energy?
