Who owns the image?

One image, perceived and captured by a talented individual in a specific time and place can evoke many uplifting thoughts and feelings. It can inspire others to dream, thus unleashing all sorts of new creations.

The observer might have seen something transcendental. Even if the observed person is gifted, it doesn’t follow that he or she truly embodies the notions held by the artist who looks.

It is likely therefore, that the remarkable image says more about the person who sees, than the one who is seen.

Those who believe that photography steals souls are possibly misunderstanding the process of what actually happens. Souls can only be fully recognised and known from within. Stories are told, based on the baggage that each of us carries. It’s all fuel for inspiration.
