Worse for the wear
Wear and tear is a fact of life. Sometimes we don’t notice when things need fixing at an early stage, only to discover later on that we have to handle major repairs.
Circumstances can be exacerbated when large organisations are involved in such processes. Then individuals have to rush around from pillar to post, aiming to get a solution to a relatively simple problem.
Mistakes are bound to occur sometimes. Usually it is helpful if representatives or operatives in the big companies are able to imagine what it feels like to experience falling in between the cracks in a situation.
Similarly, consumers should remember that the person dealing with their problems are also human and should aim to treat them with respect and compassion.
Is there anything here that isn’t obvious? Probably not, but when we are faced with tricky situations, it is easy to forget the basics.
